Travellers on the carriage and jaunting car tours
The horse-drawn tours draw the warmest feedback of anything here, and almost always for the same reason: the driver. A jarvey who has worked these roads for years turns an hour into something you remember, and the routes they use are closed to cars.
Damien knew a story for every turn in Killarney National Park and stopped wherever the photograph was best. Blankets on the seat, and the whole trap to ourselves.

We covered ground in Killarney National Park we could never have managed on foot, and our daughter loved it. The stop at Ross Castle was about fifteen minutes, which was plenty.

A lovely way to see Killarney National Park. If you want to go inside Ross Castle, book before five — the museum and shop there close at quarter past.

Travellers on the horseback rides
Riders and complete beginners both show up in this feedback, and the stables clearly handle the mix well. The one recurring wish is for more commentary along the way — the riding itself gets no complaints.
Red deer and sika both, and a cool morning that showed the park at its best. The guides handled a group of eleven and as a beginner I was completely comfortable.

Travellers on the Ring of Kerry days
These are long days on a coach and the reviews say so plainly. The driver-guide makes or breaks them, the scenery is never in question, and several travellers add a jaunting car at the Killarney stop.
Very glad we did not try to drive the Ring of Kerry ourselves. Cloudy all day, and still beautiful — and the run back in through Killarney National Park was the best of it.

At the Killarney stop we added the jaunting car through Killarney National Park. It is the sort of thing I would normally walk past, and it turned out to be the part of the day we both remember.
